Man accused of sexually assaulting 2 women in Olympia

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Police in Olympia believe they've nabbed a local rapist, but they worry more victims are still out there.

Bryon Johnston is in jail and facing several felonies, including first degree rape. Police say the 35-year-old lured two women, on two separate occasions, by offering them a free ride at a local bus stop.

Johnston is accused of offering the women rides in his Cadillac Escalade and then driving them to a secluded area behind an abandoned hotel and sexually assaulting them.

The first attack was reported last November, but police didn't get any big leads until a second attack was reported last month.

"This time the suspect had some evidence in his car that fell out onto the ground when the victim ran away from him," said Laura Wohl with the Olympia Police Department.

Police used that evidence to track Johnston down in DuPont.

Police believe Johnston, who is also known to drive a 2007 Ford F350 Pick-up truck, may have assaulted more women.
