Man accidentally drives over toddler in Concrete

CONCRETE, Wash. -- A 1-year-old boy was run over by a car Tuesday afternoon in Concrete.

A 36-year-old Concrete man was driving away from a parking stall in a remote area on Baker Lake Road just before 3 p.m. when he backed his 1991 Nissan Maxima over the boy, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The child, who is also from Concrete, was taken to Harborview Medical Center. The boy's condition was listed as "serious" on Tuesday night.

A Washington State Patrol report lists the cause of the accident as "inattention," but the driver was not arrested.
