Lumber truck crash leaves big mess on US-101 in Olympia

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Troopers and WSDOT workers have a big cleanup on their hands after a semi truck carrying several pallets of lumber overturned on US-101 Monday afternoon.

Troopers say the crash happened in the northbound lanes just past the onramp from Southbound I-5 in Olympia.

The driver was going too fast, said Trooper Guy Gill with the Washington State Patrol. He says the driver wasn't impaired and no one was hurt.

The roadway is expected to remain blocked for a while for the clean up efforts.
