An arrest warrant has been issued out of Point Pleasant Beach, N.J, for 30-year-old Ali Muhammed Brown, said Det. Clint Daniel with the town's police department. Police say their suspect approached a man sitting outside a coffee shop Sunday morning, pointed a gun at him and demanded his keys.
The victim complied, but the gunman eventually ran away on foot, Daniel said. The victim wasn't hurt and the gunman remains on the loose.
Daniel said investigators later identified their suspect as Brown, who is listed as homeless. The arrest warrant is for charges of robbery and gun possession and carries a $500,000 cash-only bail.
Brown is also wanted in Seattle as a suspect in the June 1 shooting that left 23-year-old Dwone Anderson-Young and 27-year-old Ahmed Said lying dead in the street. Officers said Anderson-Young and Said were innocent victims.
Daniel says his office is working with Seattle police and the U.S. Marshal's Service to track Brown down.
