Kirkland man killed at Mission Ridge Ski Area
WENATCHEE, Wash. -- A 25-year-old Kirkland man died in a skiing accident Wednesday at Mission Ridge, the Chelan County Sheriff's Office says.
Witnesses have told authorities that the man lost control on the "Lip Lip" run and hit a tree.
The Ski Patrol responded and found the man unconscious and unresponsive.
He was taken to a medical room, where medics treated him. Life-saving efforts failed, and he died from his injuries.
The ski run is typically closed on Wednesday but was open for a private demo day where skiers can try different products.
