Court documents: 'I killed my dad,' Tumwater teen tells police

TUMWATER, Wash. -- A 19-year-old Tumwater man arrested for killing his father with two knives stopped stabbing him to check his pulse, court documents say.

Then he resumed stabbing, the documents say.

The son was arrested Wednesday night at the Tumwater Timberland Library.

Two officers found the 19-year-old, and one pointed out the dried blood on his shoes, court documents say.

"I killed my dad," court documents say the man told the officers. "I stabbed him."

He said he killed his father "because my sister was raped and he didn't do anything," court documents say.

Police went to a home in the 2200 block of McIver Court Southwest and found a 53-year-old man dead in the laundry room.

The son told an investigator that he began planning to kill is father on Tuesday night. He made masks from pillow cases, then he attacked his father when he came home, court documents say.

The 19-year-old took a shower and left. When police first found him, he told officers he had consumed six beers.
