Husband robbed at gunpoint, wife nearly run over
SEATTLE -- A husband was robbed at gunpoint and his wife was nearly run over by the robbers Monday night in Beacon Hill, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, the couple were walking home in the 4700 block of Beacon Avenue South around 8 p.m. when two people, one holding a gun, ran up to them.
The man with the gun demanded the husband's wallet, and the wife, fearing for her life, ran across Beacon Avenue to look for help, according to police.
After getting the husband's wallet, as well as a necklace he was wearing, the men reportedly got into an older white sedan with tinted windows and violet paint on the sides with a third person.
As the robbers were driving off on Beacon Avenue, they nearly hit the wife, according to police.
Officers were unable to find the men or the car, and a detailed description of the men was not available.
