Highway 509 off-ramp reopens after deadly crash
SEATTLE - A heavily used Seattle off-ramp was blocked by a deadly crash for hours during the Tuesday morning commute, but has since reopened, emergency officials said.
Police and medics responded to the scene, the southbound Highway 509 off-ramp to Myers Road, at about 6:15 a.m. after receiving reports of a car hitting a tree.
A 42-year-old man was found in critical condition at the scene. He later was pronounced dead after life-saving efforts failed to revive him.
The circumstances leading up to the crash are under investigation.
