Girl, 15, seriously injured after tree falls on Port Orchard house
PORT ORCHARD, Wash. -- A 15-year-old girl was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries Monday after a tree fell on her home in Port Orchard during a wind storm.
The incident occurred before 5 p.m. Monday at 1259 Arnold Ave. E.
The Kitsap County Sheriff's Office says a tree fell on a corner of the manufactured home and went through the roof.
The girl was trapped in her bedroom by the tree and roof debris.
The girl's father and a neighbor worked to free her. A crew from South Kitsap Fire & Rescue provided first aid.
The girl was taken to Tacoma General Hospital with serious injuries.
