Federal Way man dies after pinned between van and storage unit

LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- The 26-year-old Federal Way man who was pinned between a box truck and a storage unit Tuesday in Lynnwood died Wednesday, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle on Tuesday with life-threatening injuries after the van he was driving crashed into a building in the 16900 block of Alderwood Mall Parkway, according to the Sheriff's Office.

About 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, co-workers reportedly found the man pinned between the box van and the building, according to the Sheriff's Office. After the co-workers were able to move the van, the man was transferred to the hospital where he died Wednesday.

The incident is under investigation and the identity of the man has not been released at this time.
