The man was driving northbound on I-5 near Tumwater at about 6:30 p.m. when he somehow lost control of the car and crashed, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill. The car ended up upside down in a grassy area just off the roadway.
The three children in the car -- ages 5-, 7-, and 10-years old -- were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, according to Gill.
The 32-year-old driver was not injured. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment. He was booked into Thurston County Jail Wednesday night.
