AUBURN, Wash. -- A family has been displaced and a dog has died after a mobile home fire Wednesday afternoon in Auburn, according to Valley Regional Fire.

According to officials, crews put out the fire about 3 p.m. Wednesday at Auburn Mobile Manor in the 200 block of 37th Street Southeast in Auburn.

Two adults and two teens lived in the home. The two teen boys, who were home at the time of the fire, were able to escape and tell firefighters about their two dogs still inside.

One of two dogs rescued from inside the home has died, according to Valley Regional Fire. The other dog was transported to a local veterinarian for further care.

Because of the extent of fire and smoke damage, the family is currently unable to stay at the home. The family will be assisted by the American Red Cross, according to Valley Regional Fire.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
