Eastern Wash. family finds coyote curled up in their kitchen
KENNEWICK, Wash. - A family in Kennewick made a surprising find on Monday - a young coyote curled up on the floor inside their home.
Officers responded to the residence on Klamath Avenue, where they found the wild creature curled up in a kitchen corner, uninjured but a little scared.
Police say it appears the coyote snuck into the house through the back door.
With the assistance of local wildlife control personnel, the coyote was captured without injuries to it, the homeowner, or officers.
Officials say the young coyote was taken away and released in a nearby sagebrush area, where they believe its mother will find it.
