Early morning fire damages Everett apartment complex
EVERETT, Wash. - An early morning fire at an Everett apartment complex has damaged four units and left seven people without a home.
Crews responded to the scene, the Highlander Apartments near Hawthorne Elementary School in the 2400 block of 11th Street, at about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of smoke and flames spewing from the building.
The units were evacuated and firefighters battled back the flames.
One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Once the blaze was doused, investigators found that four units were damaged by fire and smoke.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
