Driver killed in crash with construction vehicle in Redmond

REDMOND, Wash. -- A 22-year-old driver was killed in a crash with a construction vehicle in Redmond Thursday morning.

Police say the driver was heading east on Union Hill Road around 6:45 a.m. when the collision occurred with a front loader in the 19000 block. The driver was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital, but died on the way. The driver of the front loader wasn't hurt.

Witnesses tell Redmond police speed may have been a factor in the crash.
