Driver crashes car, flees on foot after police chase up I-5

      SEATTLE - State troopers are looking for a driver who led them on a high-speed chase up Interstate 5 early Wednesday then fled on foot after crashing the car in a Seattle neighborhood.

      The incident began at about 1:35 a.m. when a Washington State Patrol trooper tried to pull over a speeding Cadillac on I-5. The driver of the Cadillac sped off, then took the 85th Street exit and headed west.

      The trooper ended the pursuit at that point, but a few minutes later a trooper discovered the Cadillac crashed into a parked Mini-Cooper in a residential area.

      Witnesses at the scene said the driver of the Cadillac and a passenger both fled on foot.

      A search for the suspects was unsuccessful, and police are trying to track them down.
