1 dead in 3-car crash along Granite Falls Highway in Lake Stevens
LAKE STEVENS, Wash. -- One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in Lake Stevens Tuesday afternoon.
WSDOT officials say the crash happened around 3 p.m. on SR-92 -- also known as the Granite Falls Highway -- near 44th Street Northeast.
Trooper Heather Axtman says car was heading along 44th Avenue Northeast and T-boned a car that was driving on SR-92. The impact sent that car into another vehicle going the opposite direction on SR-92, Axtman said.
The driver of the first car was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two drivers and one of their passengers were treated for what Axtman described as "non life-threatening injuries."
Axtman didn't give any further details on the extent of the injuries. Parts of SR-92 were blocked for the investigation, WSDOT officials said.
