Highway 18 in Auburn back open after crash involving motorcycle
AUBURN, Wash. - The State Patrol is investigating a crash involving a motorcycle that shut down part of State Route 18 in Auburn for several hours Friday night.
It happened just after 6 p.m. in the eastbound lanes, just east of the C Street exit.
According to the State Patrol, the motorcyclist was "splitting lanes" and struck the back of a car.
Troopers said the motorcyclist was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition.
No word if anyone in the car was injured.
The eastbound lanes of SR 18 in that area were closed for nearly three hours.
Eastbound traffic was forced to exit at C Street while detectives investigated and cleared the scene.
All lanes were reopened just before 9 p.m.
