Couple robbed at gunpoint in West Seattle

SEATTLE -- A man and woman were robbed at gunpoint while walking in West Seattle early Sunday morning, and the robbers are still at large, according to the Seattle Police Department.

According to police, the victims were walking near California Avenue Southwest and Southwest Dakota Street shortly before 1 a.m. when they were approached by two men, one of whom had a gun.

The men took money, a cellphone, a purse, a wallet and an iPad from the victims and ran off, according to police. At least one of the men may have driven away in a white Lexus sedan with gold trim and Washington plates.

Officers were unable to find either of the suspected robbers or the Lexus.
