Cops: This Mill Creek thief delivers empty package, takes 2 real ones
MILL CREEK, Wash. -- Mill Creek police are looking for a package thief who delivered an empty box, then left with two full ones.
A security camera captured the action on the afternoon of Jan. 26 in the 2300 block of 145th Street Southeast.
The man walked up with a empty package and dropped it off. He took a full one back to his vehicle, then returned to take another real package.
“This individual was so confident in his cover that he performed the theft while residents were outside their homes nearby,” said Detective Sergeant Stan White in a news release.
The thief is a white man. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weights 180 to 200 pounds, police said. He has brown hair, and is thought to be 35 to 40 year old.
He pulled out in a a small blue SUV. The license plate number isn't known..
