Charges: Naked man tried to force way into woman's motel room
FIFE, Wash. -- A stark-naked and yelling sex offender tried to force his way into a woman's motel room and "scared the hell out of [her] children" Monday in Fife, according to charges filed Wednesday with Pierce County Superior Court.
According to the charging documents, the victim was in her room at the Rodeway Inn when she heard someone yelling outside. Fearing someone was yelling at her children, who were playing in the parking lot, she opened the door and reportedly found 56-year-old W.M. Fenimore Jr. standing outside completely naked.
The victim tried to close the door immediately, but Fenimore reached out for her, according to the charging documents. The victim slammed Fenimore's arm in the door until he pulled it back.
Officers arrived to find Fenimore, now clothed, still at the motel. He reportedly told them he had been naked because he had just gotten out of the shower and chased a woman out of his room.
According to the charging documents, Fenimore had a bloody towel wrapped around his arm.
The victim told officers she was scared to death when she found Fenimore outside her room, and he had "scared the hell out of the children."
Fenimore, who had convictions for indecent proposals and acts to a child and sex offense against a child in 1992 in Oklahoma, has been charged with indecent exposure.
