Car plows through wall of Bellevue apartment building

BELLEVUE, Wash. - An apartment building sustained significant damage when a car crashed into it Monday morning in Bellevue, officials said.

Fire crews responded to the scene, in the 16200 block of NE 13th Place, at about 8:30 a.m. after receiving a report of a car plowing into a building.

Arriving at the scene, they found that the car had taken out a wall of an apartment unit, significantly compromising the structural integrity of the building.

No one was injured.

Fire crews are now installing temporary shoring to support the second floor of the multi-family apartment building.

No information was immediately available about the driver of the car or what caused the car to crash into the building.
