Car catches fire in Monroe, blocks traffic on U.S. Route 2
MONROE - A car in flames caused traffic delays for drivers here Friday morning.
Both directions of U.S. Route 2 at Fryelands Boulevard were shut down while crews extinguished the fire.
The road reopened just after 7: 30 a.m.
Police and fire crews responded.
Washington Stated Department of Transportation traffic cameras caught smoke billowing across the roadway.
Authorities have not said how the vehicle caught fire or if there were any reported injuries.
