Body found in submerged car's back seat in Yakima River
ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The body of a 51-year-old man was found in the back seat of a car in the Yakima River in central Washington.
Kittitas County Sheriff's Office deputies found the red Mazda about 300 feet downstream from the Roza Recreation area boat launch around 6:40 a.m. Tuesday.
A dive team later found 51-year-old Joseph Langdon of Burlington deceased inside the submerged car, KIMA-TV News reported.
The Kittitas County Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined Langdon died from drowning.
The car was later removed from the river.
