SEATTLE -- Seattle police are investigating the discovery of a man's body in Salmon Bay Friday morning.

Medics and police went to the 2400 block of NW 54th Street after receiving a 911 call just after 6 a.m. about a body in the water. A Seattle Police Harbor Patrol boat responded and recovered the body about 15 minutes later.

Police would only identify the body as that of an adult man.

So far, there is no word how the man ended up dead in the water. The King County Medical Examiner will work to determine a cause of death.
