Bicyclist hospitalized with minor injuries after being hit by train in Everett
EVERETT, Wash. - A bicyclist was sent to the hospital with minor injuries after being hit by a train in Everett Wednesday night.
Police and medics were called to the scene near S. 1st Ave . and Lenora St. around 9:30 p.m.
A BNSF train crew reported hitting the man in a area down the tracks, away from road access.
When crews arrived they found the man conscious and alert, but complaining of rib pain. The BNSF crew from was able to help load the man onto the train, back it up and bring him to an ambulance.
No word yet on why the man was on the tracks.
