Bellevue Square briefly locked down after smash and grab
BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Bellevue Square was briefly locked down Saturday after a smash and grab robbery at a jewelry store.
Bellevue police spokesman Seth Tyler said the incident occurred about 5:45 p.m. Two robbers smashed some cases at Ben Bridge Jeweler and took items.
People in the mall though the sound of breaking glass was gunshots, Tyler said.
There is no description of suspects.
Police are looking into whether there is a connection to similar jewelry store robberies in the area.
