Bed bugs force residents out of Bremerton shelter
BREMERTON, Wash. -- Bed bugs forced about 60 people out of a Salvation Army shelter in Bremerton earlier this week
The Salvation Army confirmed that it closed the shelter.
Since then, the shelter has undergone cleaning, and the bed bugs were exterminated.
The shelter is expected to reopen at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Kitsap Sun reported that a tent city formed around the shelter and that staffers were handing out blankets and tarps.
