Authorities investigate suspected murder-suicide in Sammamish
SAMMAMISH, Wash. -- Investigators are looking into what appears to be murder-suicide in Sammamish after three family members were found dead inside their Sammamish home Saturday night.
King County Sheriff's deputies arrived at the home Saturday night in the 24000 block of Northeast 30th Place after a relative called police for a welfare check.
Police found three bodies and a gun in the home. A husband, wife and their adult son lived there.
Neighbors say the homeowner was a long-time dentist in downtown Seattle.
"It's unnerving obviously, it's something that doesn't happen in Sammamish very frequently. Let alone an upscale neighborhood like this," neighbor Ray Massey said.
Neighbors say there have been no problems with the family.
The identities of the victims have yet to be released by the medical examiner, who will officially determine the cause and manner of death.
