Armed robbery leads officers to meth, guns, stolen property

CENTRALIA, Wash. -- The robbery of a woman at gunpoint early Tuesday in Centralia led officers to a cache of stolen guns, suspected meth and burglarized property.

According to the Centralia Police Department, an Olympia woman was robbed of her purse and cellphone at gunpoint at 12:15 a.m. in the 100 block of Harrison Avenue. She told officers the robber drove off in a car with missing hubcaps and a woman behind the wheel.

Officers found the car parked in front of a residence in the 1500 block of Delaware Street and secured a warrant to search it.

According to police, officers found evidence of the armed robbery in the house as well as stolen firearms, suspected meth, evidence of gang activity and items apparently taken during other burglaries, possibly including one at Centralia High School's Tiger Stadium.

Officers arrested a 28-year-old man from Morton and an 18-year-old woman from Centralia in connection with the armed robbery. Both were booked into Lewis County Jail.
