STANWOOD, Wash. -- Police are searching for two armed robbers who struck a pizza shop and grocery store about 30 minutes apart on Monday.

The first robbery happened just before 8 p.m. at the Little Caesar's Pizza on 72nd Ave NW. The two made off with money from the cash register, according to Norm Link with the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department.

Then around 8:30 p.m., the pair robbed the Lake Goodwin grocery store on Lakewood Road.

Surveillance video managed to capture one of the robberies. The first suspect was wearing gray sweatpants, black athletic shoes, black gloves, and a black hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head, Link said. The sweatshirt has a unique design/writing on it but is not quite readable on the video.

The second suspect was wearing black pants, black hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes, Link said. Both ran off after the robberies, but a search for their suspects came up empty, Link said. Officers did attempt to pull over a vehicle that matched the description of one the robbers used to get away, but the car took off. Officers caught up with the car a short time later and determined the driver was not connected to the robberies, but was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

If you recognize either of the suspects on the video, you're asked to call the Stanwood Police Department at (425) 388-5290.
