Authorities said the baby boy, who is just 18 days old, appears to be stable and is being checked by doctors.
The Amber Alert was originally issued Thursday evening after police learned that the child's mother, 31-year-old Roshell Marie Turner, had given birth on Jan. 27 in a hotel room.
Police say Turner is a heavy methamphetamine user, and her child has potentially severe medical issues due to the drug use. Officials said they believed the child could be in "grave danger."
The newborn was found with the mother at an Everett apartment complex in the 100 block of West Casino Road. Turner was taken into custody by police for questioning, and the baby was taken away in an ambulance. The boy will eventually be placed with Child Protective Services while officials determine what to do next.
John DeRousse of the Everett police said the newborn was located through tips from the public and police detective work. The mother did not voluntarily come forward and turn herself in.
Child Protective Services has already removed numerous children from Turner's custody, according to police.
