Alleged peeping Tom arrested outside Seattle U apartment
SEATTLE -- A man was caught spying on two women from the third-floor balcony of their Seattle University apartment building early Monday morning, according to the Seattle Police Department.
According to police, the roommates heard noises around 3 a.m. outside their bedroom window near 12th Avenue and East Cherry Street and found a man on their balcony, apparently having climbed up a wall to reach it.
The victims called police and campus security, who arrived but were reportedly unable to get the man to talk to them or come down from the balcony.
Eventually, officers called in a Seattle Fire Department ladder truck and arrested the man, who had been seen pacing in front of the apartment building four hours earlier, according to police.
According to police, the man told officers someone told him to climb the building and masturbate.
He was booked into King County Jail for investigation of voyeurism.
