4 men arrested, 3 guns seized after weekend shootings

SEATTLE -- The Seattle Police Department arrested four men -- at least three of them felons -- and seized three handguns following a pair of shootings this weekend in Pioneer Square and Capitol Hill.

Officers were called to the 100 block of Yesler Way around 12:30 a.m. Saturday after a man reportedly opened fire.

According to police, officers arrested the 23-year-old suspect, who said he fired a single shot when his brother got into a fight with two other men. The suspect's brother left the scene before officers could talk to him.

The suspect, a felon, was arrested and booked into King County Jail for investigation of unlawful possession of a firearm.

Around 2 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to another report of shots fired, this time in the 1300 block of East Spring Street.

According to police, officers arrived to find a male victim on the ground, having been grazed by a bullet. He was treated by Seattle Fire Department medics at the scene.

One suspect was arrested inside a nearby construction site. Two more men, both felons, were arrested after officers found a stolen gun inside their car, according to police.

Another handgun was reportedly found in some bushes near the scene of the shooting.
