4 hurt when truck crashes into patio at Longview McDonald's
LONGVIEW, Wash. -- Four people were hurt Friday afternoon when a truck crashed into the outdoor seating area of a Longview McDonald's.
The driver of the truck, 30-year-old Joshua P. Goble of Kelso, was believed to be under the influence of drugs, Longview police said. He was booked in the Cowlitz County Jail on suspicion of vehicular assault.
The crash happened at about 1:45 p.m. when Goble's Chevrolet S-10 was heading south on 38th Avenue. The car in front of him was stopped at a light when police say Goble's vehicle pulled out of the turn lane and sped into the intersection of Ocean Beach Highway. That's when his truck hit a motorcycle, Longview police said.
Goble's truck continued on and then collided with a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado truck on Ocean Beach Highway.
Continuing on, Goble's truck went in to the McDonald's drive-thru and up onto a fence surrounding the outdoor seating area, hitting a customer at the table, police said.
The customer, Diana K. Johnson of Longview; the motorcyclist, Steven C. Morris of Longview; and Goble; were all rushed to a local hospital by ambulance.
A passenger in the Chevy Colorado, Valerie L. Loney, went to the hospital in a private vehicle.
All four people's conditions weren't immediately known.
