3 arrested after 13-year-old girl assaulted in Cal Anderson Park
SEATTLE -- One woman and two men were arrested after a 13-year-old girl was reportedly assaulted Wednesday morning in Cal Anderson Park, according to a Seattle Police Department news release.
Officers at the Capitol Hill park first saw some sort of disturbance about 1:30 a.m. involving multiple people.
The release states that when the officers approached the group, most of the people scattered. A 13-year-old girl was left behind with a bleeding face.
Officers were able to track down three people who had left the scene, including a 19-year-old woman who was arrested for suspicion of being involved in the assault.
A 19-year-old man was also arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and an 18-year-old man was arrested for obstruction.
The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center with head and face injuries. Her condition is unknown at this time.
According to the release, it appears that the incident was a targeted assault. The motive is still under investigation.
