Prosecutors say 33-year-old Lucy Lillian Pearson and 27-year-old Nichole Star Coggins took William Litvin's bank card after they got him high on heroin last October. Court records show the card was used more than 40 times after his death. Security footage shows the two women using it.
The Bellingham Herald reports the women pleaded guilty Thursday to controlled substance homicide and theft. Litvin had moved to Bellingham to study at Western Washington University.
Prosecutors say Litvin met the women and bought heroin from them after he had been drinking and taking cocaine at a house party. An autopsy showed he had cocaine, opiates, marijuana and alcohol in his blood.
