Man taken to Harborview after assault near Central District
SEATTLE -- Police are investigating after a 40-year-old man was shot at and assaulted Friday night in the 1900 block of South Jackson Street near the Central District, according to police.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, according to officials.
According to Seattle Police, the man was walking in the area about 10 p.m. Friday when two men began chasing him on foot. The two men reportedly were both holding handguns and one of them fired shots at the 40-year-old man.
The man was then assaulted by the two men, according to police.
Officers have not been able to locate the two men but found several live 9mm rounds in the area where the man said he was chased, according to police.
