1 arrested in Lynnwood home-invasion; 2nd suspect named
LYNNWOOD, Wash. -- The Lynnwood Police Department has arrested one suspect in connection with Monday's home-invasion robbery and identified a second suspect who is still at large.
According to police, two men -- one wearing a mask and armed with a handgun -- forced their way into a home in the 6200 block of 202nd Street Southwest Monday afternoon. The men reportedly put a pillowcase over the female resident's head and duct-taped her wrists while they went through her home.
Police identified one of the suspects, and the 18-year-old turned himself in to the Seattle Police Department after detectives contacted his family.
The second suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Ahmed Shire. Police are still attempting to locate him.
According to police, the victim in the home-invasion robbery may not have been randomly targeted.
