This week's Eric's Heroes story is a portrait of a man who is driven by gratitude, honor, and duty.

His name is Phil Kowzan, he lives in Spokane, and he believe that no military veteran who has served his or her country should be laid to rest to a recorded version of Taps. Ever.

So, he goes to astonishing lengths to make sure it doesn't happen.

For that he is my Hero.
