Eric's heroes: Opening the outdoors to all
We'd all like for disabled people to live fuller, more adventurous lives, wouldn't we?
But these people, the people who run the grass-roots, non-profit organization Outdoors for All... they are the ones who get to work in the trenches to actually make it happen.
Last year, this group, along with 700 coaches and volunteers made the lives of 2,400 disabled children and adults richer and more exciting. They helped them to feel the wind on their faces and the surge of adrenaline as they flew down the hill on skis or snowboards, kayaked in a river, climbed a rock wall or any number of other things.
They are mostly young, passionate people who care.
They change lives, and they are my heroes...
