This year, Sasquatch! Music Festival is trying something new.
As announced last summer, the three-day festival, which occurs over Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge Amphitheater, will extend to a second weekend. But rather than booking the same lineup two weekends in a row like Coachella, the weekends will be spread out -- one in May and one in July -- and will feature two different bills, which were revealed at a launch party last night in the U. District.
Big-name headliners include OutKast, who confirmed that they'd be reuniting for late last year, Soundgarden, Queens of the Stone Age, M.I.A., the National, Spoon, and the Violent Femmes. In keeping with tradition, the Northwest's music scene will also be thoroughly represented, with performances by Neko Case, Damien Jurado, La Luz, and legacy hip-hop group the Physics.
Unlike previous years, comedy seems to be less of a focus for Sasquatch! this year -- just a handful of comedians are booked for each weekend -- while diverse genres of music, including hip-hop and dance, are more well-represented than in past lineups.
Here are the full lineups for both weekends:
