United Way's Yuri Kim says all of the work is done by highly-trained volunteers who are certified by the IRS.
"We have folks who will sit and actually do your taxes for you and then someone double checks all the work that we do to make sure that you get all the credits and deductions that you're eligible for."
To qualify, your household income for last year has to be less than $51,000. They cannot handle returns that involve business taxes, rental income, or sale of property or stocks.
The free tax help is available days, nights and weekends at 17 locations around the county. Multilingual volunteers are ready to help at several sites
