Got grass? Best lawnmowers from Consumer Reports
Consumer Reports is out with the results of its latest lawnmower tests. Here are a few of the cutting champs:
Best gas push mower: Cub Cadet SC100. Consumer Reports says it delivers impressive mowing in both mulching and side-discharge modes, and it handles easily. At $250, the Cub Cadet SC100 was named a CR Best Buy.
Best self-propelled mower: Honda HRX2175VYA. It earned a perfect score in every test. This top-rated Honda model sells for around $700.
Best electric push mower: Ego LM2101. Consumer Reports says it delivers performance "that's on par with the best gas model." It's also exceptionally easy to use and quiet. The Ego’s lithium-ion battery packs enough power to cut at least 1/4 acre of grass on one charge. It’s priced at about $500.
