WSP: Driver leads cops on chase through South King Co.

BURIEN, Wash. - A driver who led police on a chase through South King County early Thursday was arrested after state troopers rammed his car and brought the pursuit to a halt.

The incident began just before 2 a.m. in Burien near Hazel Valley Elementary School when the driver wouldn't pull over for a traffic stop.

The suspect then sped onto Interstate 5, then Highway 18 as troopers followed him with lights flashing and sirens blaring.

When the driver exited at Weyerhaeuser Way, state traffic cameras caught troopers performing a PIT maneuver, ramming the suspect's car and spinning it around in the opposite direction.

That stopped the car and the driver was arrested.
