Woman rescued from waters off Shilshole Marina

SEATTLE -- Firefighters and harbor patrol officers have rescued a woman who was found clinging to a buoy off Seattle's Shilshole Marina Thursday afternoon.

Coast Guard officials say the woman and a man were on a Hobie Cat catamaran when it flipped over off West Point. The woman swam to the buoy while the man was able to stay with the boat.

Harbor patrol officers rescued the woman and then helped the man right the boat and he sailed back to shore.

The woman was to be checked by medics for any possible hypothermia but Seattle police said there don't appear to be any serious injuries.
