Woman gets 12-year term for killing of mother in Bothell

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - A 43-year-old woman who admitted she would be found guilty of second-degree murder in her mother's death was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Terie Davidson declined to say anything when she was sentenced Thursday in Snohomish County Superior Court. She entered a guilty plea on Oct. 31, saying she didn't remember the killing but that there was enough evidence to convict her.

The Daily Herald reports Davidson called 911 in October of 2012 asking for psychiatric help.

Officers found 81-year-old Lila Donaldson dying of a head wound. The 4-foot-10, 80-pound woman had been beaten with a heavy glass mug.
