WE Day brings together Seattle youth, hopes to make positive change

A big event coming March 27th to Key Arena, and thousands of kids from the area are invited to come and learn how to better help OTHER kids.

KOMO's Brian Calvert welcomed Seattle Seahawks Coach Pete Caroll and Free The Children's Craig Keilburger to the studio today.

From their website:

"We Day Seattle will bring together 15,000 young people to celebrate the power of youth to create positive change in their local and global communities. You can't buy a ticket to We Day - you earn it through service. We Act is a comprehensive service learning program that supports schools and youth groups in taking tangible action to make a difference in the world. Groups take on one local and one global action and report back to Free The Children to earn their way to We Day. In turn, schools and groups get tools and resources to make their We Act commitments come to life. More than an event, We Day celebrates a movement of young people leading change through We Act."
