Victim in deadly Kent shooting identified

KENT, Wash. - The man who was shot dead Thursday morning in a quiet Kent neighborhood has been identified as Sayha Doeum, 32.

He died of a gunshot wound to the torso, the King County Medical Examiner said.

The incident unfolded at about 5 a.m. Thursday in the 21000 block of 132nd Avenue SE in Kent when neighbors called 911 to report hearing some kind of dispute in the street followed by gunfire.

Kent police are still investigating the deadly shooting, but no suspects have been arrested.

One witness said he heard a woman moaning and shrieking before three shots were fired. He said the suspects fled on foot.

When officers arrived at the scene, Doeum was found severely wounded in the street. He later died of his injuries.
