      Two rescued after car plunges off embankment

      TACOMA, Wash. - Two people were taken to the hospital after being rescued around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

      Fire officials say the driver lost control of the car and fell down a 100-foot embankment into a gulch near East 35th Street.

      Rescue teams used a rope to hoist the pair to safety. Their current condition is unknown.
